The competition related to the king of the Amazon returns to our country for the fourth consecutive year. Colorful and excellently formed Discus fish will gather in the competition’s aquariums, each from various corners of the planet, in order to be highlighted by an international judging committee.

Best of Discus 2024: Get ready for the Ultimate Showdown!
Each discus that will participate in the competition will be hosted in a tank measuring 50 x 40 x 40 cm. The parameters of the water will be: pH around 7, conductivity approximately 150 ms and a temperature of about 30°C. There will be a total of 100 available tanks. Additional entries will be put on a waiting list.
Competitors must bring their fish to competition venue from Wednesday 15/05/2024 between 15:00 and 21:00 to Thursday 16/05/2024, between 10:00 and 20:00. No participations will be accepted beyond the closing date.
On request, participants from the province or abroad, are given the possibility of sending their fishes to the Organizing Committee, to undertake the acclimatization of the competing fish in the tanks.
Judging will take place on Friday 19/05/2024 at 12:00.
The award ceremony will be held on Sunday 19/05/2024 at 12:00 at the exhibition area.
Competitors may collect their fishes from the show venue on the same day between 19:00 and 22:00, and on Monday 20/05/2024 between 09:00 and 15:00. For participants coming from the province or abroad, these dates can be modified upon request to the Organizing Committee.
The Organizing Committee will not be responsible for any fish not collected after the specific date and time.
Closing date of entries is 01/05/2024. The participation cost per fish is 25,00€ and each participant will be allowed to submit a maximum of two (2) entries per category and ten (10) in total . Entries will be considered valid upon full payment of the participation fee. Payment of the participation fee should be made by bank deposit to the following account marked “Best of Discus”
