Bosse Quiding had his first discus fish in the beginning of 1962 and they were wild caught.
Since then he has been most interested in just wild discus fishes. He has been in Amazon three times, so he studied and caught them in their natural environment. This is where he had got ideas of how they live and how they should ĺook like.
He was one of those who started the Nordic Discus Society many years ago. Bosse and the other members of the club have organized five discus championships in Sweden which the last one was 2018.
He thinks that it is very interesting for discus hobby to have all the variants of colours, but not the experiments with fins and body shapes which makes the fish look like some kind of ghosts.
